Came here while we were on our honeymoon and this restaurant was really the shining gem of the evening! They have multiple options to sit outside. The upstairs patio is first come first served. My husband and I ended up sitting inside. The ambiance was upscale-beachy. Our server Chris was excellent. He masterfully navigated us through the menu and helped us curate a wonderful dining experience. For our appetizers, we had mussels in a white wine sauce and the brown sugar chipotle rub wings. For our meals we had the seafood rigatoni (featuring shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat) as well as the Mahi Mahi (featuring a refreshing mango salsa). For our dessert we had the funnel cake. It was a delightfully grown up version of funnel cake with a caramel drizzle and scoop of vanilla ice cream. At the end of dinner, they let us know that the funnel cake was on the house because they love newlyweds. We will most definitely be visiting again next time we are in town!

New place in town. Great chef who explained the house made charcuterie board with real authentic homemade fig jam that was amazing! The scallop dish was the best and freshest I have ever had in my life, shipped in fresh from the docks in the same area as Wicked Tuna is filmed according to our server. It was a halfway busy night and service was decent but the food was incredible! Definitely a place u must try!!

This was our first time here and all I can say is, this is going to become a regular spot for our dinners. Ordered the jumbo chilled shrimp, bloody mary, steamed crabs and lemon crush. The food and drinks were all excellent!! Mattie was awesome and super friendly; she made our dining experience wonderful and wanted to give her a special shout out.

Great little upscale seafood eatery near ocean city. Was pretty busy when we came so we ate at the bar, the bartender was friendly and funny, the food was a nice change from all the fried and unhealthy stuff down south and the wine list wasn’t too shabby. Would return if I’m ever in the hood again! Bravo!

The food was amazing and the waiter was great! The watermelon crush drink was phenomenal and my mom loved the bloody marry. We all got the snow crab legs and they were great. I definitely be coming back next year.

With Starboard opening another restaurant we had to try it out. The restaurant itself is nice and though there's TVs they're not overwhelming for a pricey want to be upscale restaurant. The upstairs bar and outdoor area are loud, so come prepared. There is a fishy smell when you walk in, but then it's called Claw. Had the Peel and Eat Shrimp which was good and the Bread and Cheese Board (not a fan of Harbison after trying it, brie would be better with this mixture). The grapefruit crush was light in the alcohol and the Bloody Claw with a side of lump crab was good but lacked any liquor vibes. The Chicken Ed was a little dry in some pieces (but coudos for keeping a Dewey icon alive and bringing that cook into your fold). The grilled whole fish of the day choices were Bronzino, Red Snapper or Stipped Bass (Sea Bass/Striper) so ordered the Red Snapper. It was presented well, cooked properly as the meat easily came off the bone and tasted good. The market price 55 though for what it was and the Spring Salad that came with it was overpriced and more of a 30-35 meal. The salad with added salmon looked okay.

As a local who lives just across the street from Starboard Claw, I frequent this place quite often, and it never disappoints. This two-level restaurant has a lively atmosphere, with seating at both tables and bars on both levels. One of my favorite features is the outdoor dining area upstairs, which offers a great space to enjoy the fresh air, especially on warm, sunny days. What truly makes Starboard Claw stand out, though, is the staff. From the bartenders to the waiters and hostesses, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Their friendly and attentive service consistently elevates the dining experience. The food menu is impressively extensive, catering to nearly every taste and craving. Whether you're in the mood for seafood, a hearty burger, or something lighter, they've got it covered. The fact that they’re open every day is a huge plus, as it’s the perfect place to grab a bite no matter when the craving strikes. If you’re in Dewey Beach and looking for a spot with great food, excellent service, and a relaxed vibe, Starboard Claw is the place to go. Highly recommended!

There was a little bit of a wait (15 minutes not too bad) for my party of 3 at around 8:30pm, but that was to be expected since it was during peak hours. We ordered the crab special that consists of a dozen medium sized crabs (5.5”-6”) with some sides for 60 as well as an order of fries for 6. The crabs were really meaty and the seasoning paired really well with the steamed crabs. They have a wide variety of draft beers and our server was kind enough to let us try a couple before making our decision. The crabs were surprisingly filling and we didn’t even have to order anything else. Overall, I would definitely come back again to try out the larger crabs and probably book a reservation in advance.
